Comet Machholz, notice the faint tail in the 11 o'clock position, I used a 12" LX200 + Canon 300D at prime focus, 120 seconds at iso1600, I used an altaz mount so there is significant field rotation away from the center as the comet was near the zenith at the time.

Comet Machholz, at its closest to the Pleiades on a stormy night in Kerry. 2x30 second exposures at ISO1600 with a Canon 300D and a 200mm lens at F5.6.

NEAT Q4.This picture is a sequence of eight 20 second shots taken over 8 minutes starting at 23.15 and ending at 23:23 Note the movment relative to the background stars in this short time. I had no time to accurately set up the scope, which was equatorially mounted, within about 0.4 degrees from the pole, hence the “wobble“ in the star trails.
